Motutawa Avalon Park

Parks

Avalon Park (Motutawa Avalon Park) is One of lower hutt’s best family playgrounds, packed with space to play, picnic and explore.

Climb, swing, drum, splash, and ride your way through a full day out. Kids can tackle the Helix and Spaceball climbing frames, race the twin flying fox, or cool off in the water play stream and sandpit. Bring bikes or scooters for the mini-road cycle track, or head next door to the skatepark.

There’s plenty of open space for games, plus electric BBQs for an easy family picnic.

This playground is built for the kids, but if you’re bringing a dog, keep them on a leash and stick to the marked areas.
