Often referred to as 'the home of New Zealand golf' because of its long history and pedigree, the Royal Wellington Golf Club's 27 holes offer three different 18-hole layouts surrounded by beautiful native bush, a river and streams.

The club was founded in 1895 and moved to its current site over 100 years ago. It has hosted seven NZ Open Championships since 1912 and in 2004 it became the first golf club in the country to receive royal status.

One of the signature holes, the par 5 4th sees the fairway slit in two on either side of a stream. For a taste of the course, check out the following videos:

Royal Wellington is a private members club. There is however, limited access for visitors, particularly during the week.
