Pakuratahi Forest suits all rider abilities, with a range of community-built tracks, you'll be able to choose from leisurely smooth gravel tracks with the family, right through to downhill singletrack to get the adrenaline flowing. Find them at Tunnel Gully Recreation Area.
Wainuiomata Trail Project is a community who have built New Zealand's fifth ranked mountain bike park, located in Waiu Park. Under the shelter of native bush explore 20km of trails complete with hill climbs, epic descents and expansive harbour views. A local gem with something for everyone, and a must for lovers of flowing single-track.
This 1100m track twists down the hill and exits through a mix of regenerating native and established beech forest. It's a high octane ride down the Maidstone Max Downhill track for the intermediate rider. All abilities will find challenge in the fun track that contains bermed corners that lead into jumps and drop-offs with alternatives for those who like to keep their tyres on the ground!

Escape to bushy trails among rolling farm land at Belmont Regional Park, with views over the Wellington region. It’s best suited to intermediate to advanced riders who are looking for a thrill; ride up the gentle 4 Degrees, and down Electric Avenue or one of, New Zealand world cup mountain bike rider, Bryn Dickerson's favourites - Bull Run. Off Camber Daze is so good it even has a post-ride beer named after it.
