Every Saturday, Hutt Valley's one stop shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and bread arrives in central Lower Hutt.

There's always a range of food trucks to feast on, from the cheap and cheerful to the gourmet and sublime as well as a few arts, crafts and clothing stalls.

Parking is available in the riverbank car park itself - enter at the southern end off Daly Street - it's $2 for the first hour during market hours and $4 all day.  Parking in the neighbouring Lower Hutt CBD is free for two hours on Saturdays.

Catch a bus to Queensgate Shopping Centre and walk five minutes to the market.

While you're there pop over the stopbank for lunch or brunch at one of the great eateries in the central city. Plus there's also plenty of other shopping opportunities in Queensgate Shopping Centre, High Street and the boutique heritage precinct of Jackson Street, Petone.
