Samoan brothers Regan and Radley are a pair of talented visual artists. Together they’ve owned Lagi for two years, adding another generation of customers to the previous 30 years of the original owner: Lagi.
The brothers have added an almost-art-gallery urban vibe to the store and attract regular customers for their fabrics, clothing, home décor and beauty products. Plus you’ll find traditional arts and crafts made by carvers in the Pacific.

Co-owners Trent and Matt have grown Empire Skate over the last decade and you can usually find them in their Lower Hutt store. Trent and Matt have a big footprint in the local skateboarding community where they sponsor a team of local riders as well as running annual skate competitions for all ages and skill levels plus  skating demonstrations within schools to encourage kids to take up the sport.

To look good, your suit has to fit. Rembrandt is sure to give you something well designed and tailored to you. They also have a large seam allowance so you can resize the garment throughout its life with you.

Shopping, art, culture, dining, pools and adventure – all together in the Lower Hutt CBD with a modernist twist. New housing and commercial developments quickly rose up alongside a suite of new civic buildings in the modernist style. In the 1950s some of New Zealand’s leading architects explored town planning and functional design aspects of modernism in Lower Hutt following the Garden City movement.

In recent years the central city’s civic precinct has been refurbished to add a new events centre, public square - plus a water fountain for the kids to splash around in.
