Goodbuzz Booch® is a non-alcoholic brewed probiotic soft drink commonly called kombucha. Thought to have originated in Manchuria, China over 2000 years ago, this version has been made in Wainuiomata since 2015. It’s now selling like hotcakes across New Zealand cafés and through the Good Buzz Brewing online shop.
Mix-master Amber experimented for four years before hitting the sweet spot for her drinks. Through experimentation she created something smooth, like a cider, and not the vinegary taste she’d always associated with kombucha.
Alex bought the business plan (he’s a former Silicone Valley worker), took a chance and together Good Buzz Brewing was born. Amber and Alex are creating a healthier fizzy drink option and taking kombucha mainstream with flavours like Feijoa, Lemon Ginger and Green Jasmine.
