Three Tenors and a Soprano

Spend your lunch time with world class performers.  The Operatunity 2010 lunchtime concert programme is the most exciting yet with some old favourites and lots of new ones.

Tenors Benjamin Fifita Makisi, Bonavenuture Allan-Moetaua, Derek Hill and soprano Susan Boland present opera and song made famous by the Three Tenors and the Three Irish Tenors.

Benjamin Fifita Makisi is one of New Zealand's finest Tenors and performs as a special guest artist for Operatunity wherever possible.  He is continuing his career in opera internationally, singing recently with Opera Australia and with NZ Opera.

 

Derek Hill completed his university studies in Montreal Canada graduating with high distinction.  Since returning to New Zealand he has performed with NBR New Zealand Opera, Southern Opera, Canterbury Opera, Hamilton Garden Opera, Opera Unleashed and Opera Otago, NZSO, APO, Manukau Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Choral Society.  He is a Freemasons Opera Scholar and is proudly supported by Freemasons Roskill Foundation.

 

Bonaventuture Allan-Moetaua graduated with Bachelor of Music (honours). Bonaven was awarded the Iosefa Enari Memorial Award for the support/development of a Pacific Island Opera Singer in 2004.  He won the University Blues award in 2005, 2006 and 2007.  In the NZ aria competitions he attained third equal.
