Two-day mountain bike ride through some of the Wellington region’s finest scenery. This year we have also introduced a DAY ONE option, for those of you who just want to do the first day of the event and camp overnight.
This one is for the whole family. An entry-level, non-competitive, one and two-day mountain bike ride through some of the Wellington region’s finest scenery. Recall a bygone era on the Rimutaka Rail Trail then camp overnight next to Lake Wairarapa with music to boot. Day two is a spectacular journey round the south coast through normally unreachable private land to Eastbourne.
It’s your opportunity to get out on your mountain bike and participate in a phenomenon that’s fast becoming legend.
Over two days, this non-competitive, family-friendly event will take you through 100km of the most magnificent scenery the Wellington region has to offer, along with riders of all kinds and levels of experience. The ride is long, but it’s pretty casual, so even if you haven’t ridden much before you’ll definitely have a great time.
We’ve made the journey as easy and affordable as possible for you to have fun with your friends and family. We’ve arranged all meals, equipment, transport and camping, so all you need to worry about is keeping the pedals turning. We’ve even laid on entertainment and spot prizes for the Saturday night.
Entry includes land access, four meals, gear transport and entertainment.
