The Hutt Valley has a variety of motel options, some are centrally located to the Lower Hutt CBD and others overlook the Hutt Valley and/or Wellington harbour. 

For early morning departures on the ferry to the South Island, all Hutt Valley accommodation is close to State Highway 2 for a quick drive to the ferry terminals.

Holiday Parks, Camps & Hostels

Park up your campervan, pitch your tent, or book a cabin at one of our region's holiday parks, in close proximity to the Interisland and Bluebridge ferry terminals.  

 


Freedom camping
Hutt Valley has some excellent bush and stream camping areas; Catchpool and Kaitoke Regional Park provide excellent bush settings with a river running through them.  Freedom camping anywhere else is the Hutt Valley is not allowed.  For further information on these areas, contact one of two Hutt Valley i-SITE Visitor Centres.
