To the north the city extends up the Hutt Valley along the banks of the Hutt River from Petone to Stokes Valley including Belmont Regional Park to the West.
To the east Lower Hutt encompasses Wainuiomata, Eastbourne and the native bush wilderness area of Rimutaka Forest Park. At the southern extremities is the rugged and unspoilt beauty of Pencarrow and Baring heads, and the East Harbour Regional Park.
With the historic and funky Jackson St in Petone, the seaside village atmosphere and beaches of Eastbourne, TheNewDowse (NZ’s leading contemporary art and design museum), and the high street and malls of the CBD area; there’s something for everyone in Lower Hutt!
